Zero-day vulnerability

A zero-day vulnerability is a flaw in hardware, firmware, or software that is unknown to the vendor and has no available fix at the time it's discovered or exploited. The name refers to the vendor having had zero days to prepare a patch. Zero-days are especially concerning in OT because even once a fix exists, deploying it can take far longer than in IT due to OT patching constraints.
