Sector Risk Management Agency (SRMA)

A Sector Risk Management Agency is the federal department or agency designated, originally under PPD-21, as the day-to-day federal point of contact for one of the 16 critical infrastructure sectors. For example, the Department of Energy is the SRMA for the Energy sector, the Department of the Treasury for Financial Services, and the EPA for Water and Wastewater Systems. SRMAs coordinate with CISA, other federal agencies, and private-sector owners and operators, and carry out incident management and technical assistance responsibilities specific to their sector.
