FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission)

FERC is the independent U.S. federal agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas, and oil, along with natural gas and hydropower projects. FERC is the agency that certified NERC as the Electric Reliability Organization and that oversees ISOs and RTOs.
