ICS (Industrial Control System)

ICS is the umbrella term for the systems that control industrial processes and physical equipment, including SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, and the human-machine interfaces (HMIs) operators use to interact with them. "ICS" is often used interchangeably with "OT," though OT is the broader category (it includes ICS plus other operational systems), while ICS specifically refers to the control-system components.
