Automatic Generation Control (AGC)

Automatic Generation Control is the automated process grid operators use to continuously adjust generation output to keep supply and demand balanced within a specific area (a Balancing Authority Area), and to keep grid frequency within required limits. It's the real-time control system that operationalizes frequency regulation.
